PROJECT INFRASTRUCTURE:
The City of Kennedale and the Kennedale Economic Development Corporation plan to award bids and
commence construction on approximately $2,800,000.00 in infrastructure in March 2010.
This work will
include but not be limited to:
*Reclading and landscaping of the existing Surplus Warehouse/Dollar General building*
*Relocation and refurbishing of the City owned 1880’s Union Pacific Section House*
*Removal of Municipal Drive between TownCenter and the existing Municipal Complex*
*Install under ground utilities, electric, water, wastewater, telecommunications and irrigation systems*
*Construct “Section House Park” (Festival and vendor areas)*
*Installation of extensive landscaping including numerous trees and shrubbery*
*Installation of new ornamental parking lot lighting*
*Installation of street scape along Kennedale Parkway*
COMMENTS:
Kennedale TownCenter is a cooperative Public/Private development between the Kennedale
Economic Development Corporation, The City of Kennedale and Kennedale TownCenter, LLC.
Kennedale TownCenter is strategically located between Kennedale’s two new major north/south
transportation arteries (Bowman Springs Road and Little Road) and on it’s major East/West transportation
artery (West Kennedale Parkway/Business 287).
Kennedale TownCenter is located at the heart of Kennedale’s targeted Downtown District/business
center and growth corridor.
Kennedale Town Center is adjacent to the City of Kennedale’s existing municipal complex consisting
of City Hall, Public Library, Criminal Justice center and Senior Citizen Center.
Kennedale Town Center is located directly across West Kennedale Parkway from the Kennedale
Independent School District (KISD) administration office and James F. Delaney Elementary School.
